Vince Gerona
HAWAII
Vince Gerona was a Hawaiian lure maker best known for the "Egg" — a slightly snub-nosed, single-hole bullet finished with cracked glass. His work carries a tell that collectors rely on: the crimped insert tape in the nose, folded over on itself, a small signature that helps separate a real Gerona from a look-alike. He has since passed away, and his lures are remembered fondly for that distinctive hand.
As a museum and archive, we're honored to preserve the memory of Vince Gerona, whose "Egg" and folded-tape nose work are a signature of his craft.
