Opihi P is the work of Gary Graham, a Maui maker whose lures have built a quiet reputation on pure performance. He's known for heavy, jetted bullets — substantial heads (a 6-jet 10-incher runs close to 9.5 ounces) built to dig in and track true through the rougher water around the islands.

Public information on the maker is limited, but the lures speak for themselves — they turn up bearing the teeth marks of fish that couldn't leave them alone, and they're valued by anglers who fish Maui's waters.

As a museum and archive, we're honored to document Gary Graham and Opihi P, a Maui maker whose heavy jetted bullets get the job done.
