Koga
OAHU, HAWAII — ACTIVE YEARS 1970s – 2008
Al Koga was an Oʻahu lure maker whose work is still sought after today. He's especially remembered for his blue-and-chrome fish-head lures — beautifully made baits that command strong prices among collectors. His lures earned enough of a reputation to be featured in a catalog back in the day. Koga has since passed away, and genuine examples of his finely crafted heads are prized by those who know them.
As a museum and archive, we're honored to preserve the work and memory of Al Koga, whose blue-and-chrome fish heads remain some of Oʻahu's most coveted vintage lures.
Notable shapes: Blue-and-chrome fish-head lures
