ACTIVE YEARS EARLY 2000'S - PRESENT

Aliʻi Kai Lures are handcrafted trolling lures made in Kona, Hawaiʻi by Captain Shawn Rotella, a charter boat captain and experienced fisherman with over two decades fishing Hawaiian waters. Rotella learned lure making after meeting lure makers Joe Yee and the late Tom Futa, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in shaping and resin work early in his career. He eventually acquired many of Futa’s original molds and shape masters, which helped form the foundation of the Aliʻi Kai lineup.

We are proud to be a distributor of Alii Kai lures, the only store on Oahu to carry his lures.

This collection is constantly evolving as new lures arrive, making it a living record of rare, limited-production lures. We will continue updating this database regularly, building what we aim to be the largest digital archive of offshore trolling lures in the world.
