Wes Leslie

Wes Leslie Lures were handcrafted in Kona, Hawaii by Wes Leslie from the 1980s until his passing in March 2023. Wes learned the art of lure making from legendary Captain Gene VanderHoek, who needed a steady supply but was too busy slaying fish to pour his own. His handmade lures quickly earned respect on the Kona coast — though they were never commercially available.

Only a limited number of his handmade lures exist, and they rarely surface.
