George Parker

George Parker Lures were handcrafted in Kona, Hawaii by Captain George Parker from the 1940s into the early 2000s. George Parker's name was already part of Hawaiian fishing history well before his son Marlin Parker (of Marlin Magic Lures) began his own career — in 1954, George landed a legendary 1,002-pound blue marlin, one of the early "grander" catches that helped establish Kona as a global center for big-game fishing.

That catch became a defining moment not only for George's own legacy, but for the next generation: Marlin Parker was literally named after the fish that made his father famous.
