Crampton Lures – Brian Crampton Carrying Forward the Legacy of Scott Crampton

Crampton Baits are crafted one at a time by Brian Crampton, who continues the legacy of his father, legendary Hawaiian captain and lure maker Scott Crampton. Brian grew up learning directly from Scott in the shop, picking up his techniques long before Scott’s passing in 2020. Today, he builds each lure using the same original molds that made the Crampton name a staple in offshore fishing.

Brian has revived many of the classic shapes his father became known for, along with bringing back Scott’s hallmark touches: real shell slabs, precise resin work, and the familiar silver-and-red wrapped leader tube visible beneath the inserts. To help distinguish his own craft while honoring his father, Brian now adds a “Crampton Baits” signature to every head he makes.

What hasn’t changed is how these lures perform. They still deliver the clean, reliable swim that made Crampton Lures famous with anglers chasing marlin, tuna, mahi, ono, and other pelagic species around the world.
